Reproduction porcelain garden seat with carved lotus and drum design finished in a reactive light blue glaze. Reactive glazes are appreciated for their unique, unpredictable, and fluid finish. Color on received product may vary from photographed item. High-fired porcelain pieces are ideal for outdoor use and, unlike ceramic garden seats, are non-porous and do not crack under extreme temperature changes.
Each garden seat is crafted by an independent artist working from one of the last traditional dragon kilns in China — a centuries-old, wood-fired kiln built along a hillside and fired over several days. This process is inherently unpredictable and produces the depth, movement, and tonal variation that define each piece. No two are alike.
Our garden seats are entirely handmade and intentionally distressed to honor this traditional method. Variations such as surface cracks, pockmarks, kiln marks, glaze pooling, and uneven coloration are expected characteristics of the firing process and are not considered defects. These nuances are part of the piece’s authenticity and are what make it uniquely yours.
Due to the artisanal nature of these works, all sales are final. We do not offer returns or exchanges based on variations in finish, texture, or appearance.
