Description
Porcelain beaker-style cachepot in celadon. Made with foot-stomped clay.
Foot-stomped porcelain is made with a rustic form of clay that is literally mixed together by stomping on the clay. This type of clay is more primitive and less refined, containing minerals and other materials that react with the heat in the kiln and result in beautiful blemishes, marks, cracks, and imperfections. This creates an antiqued, unique finish that is intentional and highly sought after by many designers and collectors.
Each piece is hand made and hand decorated, so no two are exactly alike. Received product may vary from photographed item in color, size, and finish. Pairs and groups must be ordered at the same time to ensure best match.
